Viobond stimulates investments

The assembly of large-format wooden structures has begun in the expansion project of RSEZ SIA “Verems” birch plywood mill, which will create new, knowledge-intensive jobs in Rēzekne region and will give an opportunity to expand the range of products and services offered by “Latvijas Finieris“. Over the next two years, it is planned to invest more than 80 million EUR, which will provide up to 45 thousand m3 birch plywood production capacity annually. In the plywood production process, a green, environmentally friendly binder based on biorefinery lignin, created in the Viobond project, will be used.
